About the
Earth Mama

Hi! I’m Ellen.

Raised under the oak trees of Austin, Texas, I’ve always felt most alive with dirt under my nails and the sun on my face. That early wonder for the natural world carried me through a degree in Plant and Soil Science, a decade managing organic farms, and years teaching sustainable agriculture—ways of helping things grow, including myself.

My journey has been rich and winding. I’ve danced through fitness, roller derby, energy healing, and even the dizzying heights of corporate life. For a time, it seemed I had it all. But beneath the surface, I lost my rhythm—until a turning point came on my 41st birthday. I chose sobriety, stepped away from the polished facade, and returned to simplicity and devotion.

Now my days are spent barefoot in the garden, folding herbs into sachets and candles, kneading bread, and bottling potions. Crafting with intention—tiny rituals with plants, clay, salt, and flame—is how I come home to the sacred every day.

Earth Mama Crafts is my offering—a warm, sacred space for women and femmes craving beauty with meaning. Here, we stir tea with intention, hold circles under full moons, fold gifts wrapped in blessings, and create connection with our bodies, the earth, and each other.

Whether you’re a plant mama, a new mama, or simply someone seeking deeper magic in everyday life, you’re welcome here.

Come craft something magical with me.

Let’s make it with heart. Let’s make it by hand.
