Hi! I’m Ellen.

I’ve been a teacher and guide most of my life—ever since I led my first group fitness class at 19. Over the years, I’ve taught college students, led yoga classes, coached athletes, and shared energy medicine with those seeking balance. These experiences taught me how to hold space, listen deeply, and help people tap into their own power.

I grew up amongst the oak trees of Central Texas, curious and determined, sometimes mistaken for a troublesome kid when I was really just a triple fire-sign figuring out the world. That curiosity led me to a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, work on organic farms, and eventually energy healing and yoga teaching—a blend of hands-on learning, intuition, and connection to the earth that still shapes the way I teach today.

A turning point came when I chose sobriety and stepped away from a career that no longer served me. I realized that abundance, magic, and fulfillment flow from within—and that the best years of my life were waiting in creative, intentional work, not in trading joy for "security".

Now, I help women, femmes, and our friends reconnect with their own power through ritual, craft, herbalism, and divination. Together, we make things by hand, explore intuition, and find grounding and meaning in everyday life. My workshops, private gatherings, and one-on-one sessions are spaces where you are safe, supported, and free to discover your magic—without judgment or pretense.

As founder of Earth Mama Crafts and a teacher and public speaker since 2003, I bring years of experience—from yoga instruction and energy medicine to mentoring students as a professor—to guide you in discovering practices that feel authentic to you. I’ve also shared my work through the Good Medicine Confluence, Central Texas Master Naturalist Program, Central Texas Mycological Society, and Austin Community College, offering tools to help people cultivate practices that are personal, practical, and magical.

My goal is simple: to help you feel inspired, cared for, and confident in your own power.
